Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the warehouse facility by handling incoming materials (unloading and loading trucks, placing materials onto extended reach racking, breakdown of arriving shipments and building of outbound shipments), quickly, accurately and on time as well as practicing effective inventory management. WCD Global is expanding rapidly, and this is a position with growth opportunities.

Schedule: Mon - Fri, 9AM - 5PM, 8 hour shift

Salary: $24.50 per hour + overtime opportunities

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Warehouse
• Oversee all aspects of Shipping and Receiving
• Supervise workflow of all Inbound Operations from receiving to placement in inventory
• Responsible for activities in picking, replenishing, checking, shipping, and pickup operations
• Keep warehouse organized
• Ensure collection, preparation of documentation for shipments
• Coordinate activities with other work units or departments
• Coordinate maintenance and repair work for equipment
• Prepare and submit reports
• Follow all company and legislated health and safety requirements
• Participate in all training as required
• Operate electrical extended reach forklift and normal reach forklifts.
• Unload and load trucks
• Perform general labourer functions as required
• Pickup and deliver materials using company vehicle
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid forklift certification, 3 years experience operating forklifts
• 3-5 years experience in a warehouse environment
• G License
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong leadership skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills and able to adapt to changing priorities
• Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation
• Strong communication skills, both writing and verbal
• Reliable, dependable and self motivated
• Motivated, self starter, can-do attitude
