Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for unloading and loading trucks and placing materials onto extended-reach racking. The warehouse associate also assists in the breakdown of arriving shipments and the building of outbound shipments.

Salary- $22/hour

Working hours- 9 am-5 pm or 8am-4pm

Location- North York (Dufferin and Steeles)

Responsibilities

• Operate electrical extended-reach forklifts and normal-reach forklifts.
• Unload and load trucks
• Assist in the documentation of shipments.
• Counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking products of various sizes to make sure shipments are safe.
• Keeping an inventory of products in the warehouse and making sure everything is in the correct place and ordered if needed.
• Receiving and processing POs
• Follow all company and legislated health and safety requirements.
• Participate in all training as required.
• Perform general laborer functions as required.
• Pickup and deliver materials using a company vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid forklift certification
• 2-3 years experience in a warehouse environment
• G License
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs)
• Motivated, self-starter
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable, dependable and self motivated
