Site Supervisor

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Site Supervisor will be an employee of the Aurum Group of Companies and will be working with one of the biggest clients of Aurum. The Site Supervisor (ON) is responsible for providing on-site supervisory coverage at the designated location (assigned by the client). This role involves overseeing the work performance of employees, maintaining effective communication with on-site client management, and collaborating with the Site Manager and/or Area Manager for additional support as needed.

Salary: $30.50/hour + Benefits

Hours of Operation: 12:00am- 8:00am (EST)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing on-site supervision and leadership to employees working at the specified location.
• Oversee work performance, and productivity, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Act as the secondary point of contact for on-site Client management, addressing their concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment, tools, and facilities are well-maintained and in proper working conditions.
• Train and mentor line supervisors, providing guidance, and feedback support to foster professional growth.
• Coordinate work schedules, shifts, and assignments to optimize workforce utilization.
• Must be responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive work relationship with all individuals, communicating clearly and consistently through various means (e.g. in person, email, phone calls, etc.) and supporting conversations through email communication to keep all individuals informed in a transparent manner.
• Lead all employees to perform the on-site Work and practice safety at the workplace, be observant of the potential hazards, and ensure the health and safety of all employees are preserved on a consistent basis.
• Reinforce work safety, on a daily basis, by means of communication (safety talks and awareness), training (as applicable), visual (identifying potential hazards at the workplace, signs, etc.), and taking preventative measures to ensure the safety of employees, client staff and the general public. Document and keep records of all safety meetings and/or discussions for the duration of the contract.
• All other duties as assigned.

Certification and License:

• The Site supervisor is required to complete the Technical Standard and Safety Authority (TSSA) Site Operator Certification and provide proof of certification before beginning the work on-site.
• Must possess current Ontario License (Class A, B, or C with Z endorsement) and a clean abstract.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma is considered an asset.
• 3+ years of relevant supervisory experience is preferred.
• Previous experience working in transport, and warehousing is preferred.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, clients, and stakeholders.
• Customer-oriented approach with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and protocols
• Strong leadership skills with a team-player mindset
• Ability to efficiently use MS Office
• Acceptable security and criminal record check
