Proposal Specialist

The Aurum Group is seeking a highly motivated, independent, and results-driven Proposal Specialist. This individual will be skilled in reviewing national boards that list requests for proposals and preparing responses aligned with the core businesses of the Aurum Group. We want someone who is articulate, intelligent and analytical, being able to generate wins, increase sales and maximize company revenue. The Proposal Specialist downloads, distributes, uploads, provides analysis, response, support, and processing of various types of tender administration, proposals and bids documents for the applicable Sales Team. Such documents may include: request for tender (RFT), request for proposal (RFP), request for information (RFI), and request for quotation (RFQ). These are collectively referred to as "Proposal Documents." The Proposal Specialist maximizes company revenue and profit through wins and sales generated by responses to Proposal Documents. Salary: $42,000 per year + commissions

Roles

Review national RFP boards, such as Merx, and similar private board, for requests for proposal

Provide synopsis on likely RFPs for management review

Develop tailored response to RFPs

Establish and maintain clear and frequent communication with proposal managers

Review opportunities for grants and subsidies. Prepare applications for applicable opportunities

Stay current on the company's organizational structure, company policies, and federal and provincial

laws regarding RFPs and subsidies

Assist in sales and other related activities as required

Qualifications

Post-secondary education (Political Science, Communications preferred) Professional certifications such as APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or PMI (Project Management Institute)

Highly motivated and able to work independently

Comfortable working in a trades environment

Excellent technical writing skills
