Distribution and Supply Chain Manager

Reporting to the COO, the Distribution and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the WCD Global Warehouse(s), including inventory management for thousands of SKUs, supply chain optimization, warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, logistics/shipping, etc. Dealing directly with clients and management, this position will be responsible for all day-to-day movement and storage of material. The Distribution and Supply Chain Manager will collaborate with internal teams to understand, achieve, and exceed business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global supply chain and logistics strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans
• Manage warehouse functions and personnel, overseeing all activities from receipt to delivery
• Develop and maintain inventory control procedures according to industry best practices
• Develop and maintain inventory database, ensure establishment of maximum and minimum stock limits
• Investigate inventory variances, find root causes, and develop solutions
• Prepare monthly reports on inventory activities and variances for multiple warehouses
• Oversee all aspects of WCD Global including opening and closing the main warehouse, setting standards for satellite warehouses, and maintaining the general appearance, organization, and cleanliness
• Responsible for key warehouse functions including fulfillment, shipping and receiving, inventory management, and retail distribution
• Increase sales at WCD Global through the provision of excellent customer service to clients
• Prepare and maintain all associated paperwork
• Work collaboratively with operations staff to ensure a smooth flow of tasks
• Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met or exceeded
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proven experience (10+ years) in global supply chain and logistics management.
• Degree or diploma is considered an asset
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse/ supply chain management experience
• Strong communication skills
• Willing to take responsibility and act independently when necessary
• Good organization and reporting skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office and learn new programs
• Knowledge of NetSuite/Oracle/SAP is an asset
